A list of the present, past, past participle, and Japanese meaning of the most common English irregular verbs.
You can choose which verbs to display, and the order in which they appear. You can also switch on-the-fly between two display modes, List or Flashcard.
Caveat: Obviously a complete and exhaustive list of every verb in the English language would be quite an undertaking, so I have included only a limited number of verbs. These are mainly the verbs I found in most Japanese Junior High textbooks, plus a few others I thought might be useful. If you have any requests, please feel free to contact me and I'll add them.
Thanks to Gouriki for noting some errors. These are now fixed.
How to use
First choose the verbs you want using the simple search tool. You can search for any of the three verb forms (bare infinitive, simple past, and past participle) in English.
By default you start in List mode. In this mode, several verbs are shown in a list, and you can blank out individual items (this can be useful for drilling).
To switch to Flashcard mode, hit the button at the top right. In Flashcard mode, you can see one verb at a time, and move through the list in a simple slideshow.
In either mode, each part of speech (including the Japanese meaning) can be toggled on or off.
Known Issues & Bugs
The search does not allow searches in Japanese. I did not realize this until recently, and have not had time to fix it, but I will do so soon.
There also seems to be a display problem in some browsers when turning off one or more columns, though it should work fine in Internet Explorer. I'm working on a fix for this.
